This video showcases a rescue robot designed to open narrow spaces, move under heavy debris, and search out and save survivors at a disaster site. The proposed robot, called Bari-bari-II, has the ability of clearing its own path to pass through. The key is the step structure on its head that enables it to gradually open a 10-mm gap to 250 mm under a 600-kg load.
