The European Union initiated WEEE and RoHs to force manufacturers to take responsibility of e-waste recycling and disposal. The improper disposal of electronics is a problem that can have very harmful effects on the planet and can be dangerous to the health of the people who come in contact with it. Waste and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) and Reduction on the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHs), are put in place to regulate companies on their electronic regulations. This program explains what these regulations are doing, and how the European Union is creating easy access for consumers to dispose of their unwanted technology.

E-waste is a problem that is found all over the world, but the European Union is doing what they can to try and control it. This video will introduce the WEEE and RoHs programs for e-waste recycling and disposal, and discuss the resources found in Europe to help the community be environmentally aware.
