The Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Dr. Shoya Higa presents a prediction algorithm of driving energy for future Mars rover missions. Since many future Mars rovers will be solar-powered, it's necessary that they exercise energy-optimal driving to maximize their range of motion with limited energy. To do this, Dr Higa has develop and compared two machine-learning models - VeeGer-EnergyNet and Veeger-TerramechanicsNet. We sat down to hear more. Video Credit: WebsEdgeEducation + IROS TV
