Yamaha's Avant Grand Digital Piano Mimics Acoustic

Digital pianos provide many advantages over acoustic pianos: They never need tuning, take up less space, allow silent practice with headphones, and can create note-perfect musical instrument digital interface (MIDI) recordings. But for most professionals, these benefits can't compete with the richer sound and physical response created by the complex mechanical interactions of an acoustic concert piano. Yamaha has tried to remedy this situation with their new AvantGrand digital pianos, which re-create the sound and feel well enough to compete with similarly priced acoustics.
