From cutting edge research within academic settings to industries commercializing the power conversion technologies supporting our daily lives, the power electronics field has a long-standing history of global collaboration. As the demand and market reach of power conversion technologies continues to expand, the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) has facilitated and guided the development and innovation in power electronics technology for over 30 years. PELS is one of the fastest growing technical societies of within IEEE. Established for 5 years, the IEEE PELS Women in Engineering committee has made significant impacts on diversity within the society of over 10,000 members spanning every region of the globe - United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Asia and Oceania. This event will bring together key IEEE PELS leadership and members from around the world to discuss how focused Diversity & Inclusion initiatives have benefited the society, enabling the vast power electronics community to grow larger and stronger, together. Tailored for professionals and students from all fields and backgrounds, this event is intended to support understanding of the D&I perspectives, challenges, and initiatives in different cultures around the world, and discuss the IEEE PELS’ D&I strategic goals and initiatives.
