This video shows a small sticky mobile robot developed to search for and help rescue earthquake survivors. After the robot is tossed through small spaces, it moves around the rugged or bumpy wall and ceiling to scan the floor with its camera. A gel mat made of urethane provides the adhesion needed to travel even on the most rugged walls. Washing restores the adhesion quality. The video illustrates the usefulness of the application to rescue personnel.
