The intergovernmental Group on Earth Observations (GEO) is conducting an effort to better understand Earth. Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) is a project that is going to allow us to study and manage the Earth's resources, disaster prediction and recovery. The information that is gathered through GEOSS will be shared across boundaries, and will hopefully build a level of trust between countries. This video is about the challenges of developing this global information service, and how GEO plans on overcoming some already existing obstacles.

Global issues affect all of us every day. In order to collect and analyze data about our environment, the intergovernmental Group on Earth Observations (GEO) is conducting a worldwide effort to help study and manage the world's resources, disaster prediction and recovery. This project is called the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) and this video discusses the actions and methods that researchers are using to gather this information, in hopes to help better understand the world we live on.
