About PlayDate: A three-inch orange ball embedded with motors, sensors, speakers, a microphone and a high-definition camera, it’s controlled remotely by owners who can watch streaming videos of their frolicking pets on their smartphones. Owners can change the direction of the balls and make them squeak. They can also hear their pets and speak commands.
