The lead architect of a model solar home in Denmark explains some of the design choices that went into the house's construction. The company behind the project, VKR Holding, based in Horsholm, Denmark, calls it an "Active House." The house generates its own energy, monitors its own climate, and opens its own windows, all in service of comfort and a small environmental footprint.
