In this 6+ hour course, viewers get an overview of the smart IoT solutions and services that have been unleashed thanks to recent advancements in wireless, miniaturization of technology, improvement in processing power, standards, and market attraction. Viewers will learn about: early adoption of IoT leading to a formal/collaborative IoT model and key drivers leading to the growth and adoption of IoT; application requirements, architecture, and solutions in key market areas such as smart homes and buildings, smart health and fitness, and smart infrastructure; critical considerations in building IoT product and system solutions leveraging smart software IoT platform approach, integrated cloud computing/analytics, security handling and sensor fusion, wearables, and other advanced devices such as 3D, robot, and droned; how virtualization (SDN and NFV) will drive 5G and IoT for a scalable solution and services by 2020; and references and links for additional support material and direction to DIY IoT.
