Nearly 6 hours in length, this course presents four case studies in the history of systems engineering: the A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog); the Global Positioning System (GPS); the New Horizons Mission to Pluto and the Kuiper Belt; and the Evolution of the Mini-RF Synthetic Aperture Radar Program. Taught by David R. Jacques, retired Air Force colonel and professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), as well as three instructors from Johns Hopkins University: David Kusnierkiewicz, Robert Jensen and Ronald G. Schulze.
