The traction power supply system is a significant part of the railway system, which is responsible for supplying power to the electric locomotives. The advanced co-phase traction power supply system (ACTPSS)can eliminate all the neutral sections which exist in the traditional power supply system to realize the integral connection of the traction network. The single-phase virtual synchronous machine (VSM) control strategy, which can be applied to the ACTPSS, is studied in this thesis to improve the stability and reliability of the ACTPSS. Then, the simulation model is built based on the Matlab/Simulink and small-scale experiment platform is built based on FPGA to verify the performance of the single-phase VSM. The results are consistent with theoretical analysis, which prove the correctness and feasibility of the strategy.
