NextG systems and networks are expected to support per-user throughputs of 1 or more Gbps, and ultra-low access latencies of 1 millisecond or less for a massive number of devices and services. It is expected that NextG systems will support novel applications with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that would be challenging to meet.

In recent times, Quantum technology (QT) has also evolved rapidly resulting in advances in quantum communications, computing, networking, and security. This talk will present the challenges and opportunities involved in realizing QT-enabled NextG systems and networks.

Specifically, this talk will identify the enhancements needed in NextG systems and networks to meet the desired KPI and describe the specific benefits provided by quantum communications, quantum networking, and quantum security.
