Enrique Castro-Leon

Biography

Enrique Castro-Leon is Executive Director of the SCOOP Carbon Accounting Project, an open-source engineering initiative that applies metrology principles to carbon accounting with the goal of achieving rigor comparable to financial reporting frameworks such as IFRS. He also serves as Chair of the IEEE P7802 Standards Working Group.

He has led technology transformation initiatives across enterprise IT and engineering environments, including the migration of large laboratory networks to cloud-based platforms and projects to improve energy efficiency in hyperscale data centers. He has also advised CIOs on enterprise architecture and long-term technology strategy.

Dr. Castro-Leon holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Computer Science from Purdue University. He is the author of four books and over 40 technical publications.
