Building Resilient Spatial Intelligence: From Communication to Integration

Cell-free massive MIMO is an emerging technology poised to meet the unprecedented key performance indicators (KPIs) of 6G networks, including enhanced throughput, ultra-low latency, and improved sustainability. Its distributed architecture mitigates the physical limitations imposed by path loss variations and blockages, while leveraging increased macro-diversity gains. In this seminar, we will present and synthesize our recent research in this area, highlighting the importance of spatially disaggregated network resources in building resilient, intelligent, and energy-efficient systems. We will further discuss how such architectures can enable a new generation of functionalities, including environmental mapping, target tracking, localization, and enhanced network security.
