Session Title : IEEE WIE: Promoting Diversity and Inclusion
Session Type : Ignite Session
Session Description : This session presents IEEE WIE's commitment in promoting and implementing the IEEE WIE pledge to different OUs. It is important for WIE members to demonstrate the ability to identify problems and provide solutions to be change makers. Any woman with well-documented accomplishments can achieve awards and lead WIE, regardless of their region or ethnicity. To promote creativity and boost problem-solving strategies, we need platforms for our female researchers and industry experts to exchange ideas beyond borders. IEEE WIE strongly encourages males to participate in WIE programs. The benefits of networking and the collaboration between members of diversified backgrounds can improve the percentage of women's participation in STEM fields thus creating a stronger impact on society's development.

IEEE Sections Congress, the triennial flagship event hosted by MGA, brought together volunteer leaders from every member country to share ideas and solutions. IEEE Sections Congress 2023 was an in-person event.

Volunteer leaders worldwide met in the Shaw Centre, Ottawa, Canada, to exchange ideas and learn about the products and programs IEEE offers to members in their local areas.

There were dynamic and engaging networking sessions to exchange ideas and best practices. IEEE organizational units offered exhibit booths to provide information on IEEE resources and tools to strengthen and support vital units.

IEEE volunteers and members attended Sections Congress 2023 from 11-13 August 2023.
