IEEE Humanitarian Technologies (HT) is a consortium of programs and initiatives, supported by a global network of volunteers and technical professionals, to apply technology to solve the world’s most pressing problems. This talk describes how the HT Board strives to develop and evaluate programs to advance tech for social impact through real-world deployment. IEEE member-led projects:

• deploy technology in partnership with local stakeholders, designed for sustainability and measurable impact.
• operate disaster support trucks engineered to function when infrastructure is disrupted under real-world conditions.
• co-design projects grounded in real-world use cases, with clear pathways and ecosystems to move from concept to deployment.
