Session Title : MGA Geo-Units Compliance Resolution Process

Session Description : The success of IEEE MGA geographic unit activities depends on the professional behavior of IEEE volunteers and compliance to IEEE policies and operational procedures. In this session, volunteer leaders will learn about MGA's process to address geographic organizational unit volunteer and member complaints, as well as the role of the MGA Operations Manual Compliance Committee, OMCC, which is a volunteer-driven forum that administers the complaint resolution process and provides advice and assistance in cases of non-compliance with the MGA Operations Manual. IEEE volunteers in positions of leadership need to be familiar with operational procedures and expectations for high conduct as they engage in and carry out activities on behalf of the IEEE. IEEE Sections Congress, the triennial flagship event hosted by MGA, brought together volunteer leaders from every member country to share ideas and solutions. IEEE Sections Congress 2023 was an in-person event.
Volunteer leaders worldwide met in the Shaw Centre, Ottawa, Canada, to exchange ideas and learn about the products and programs IEEE offers to members in their local areas.
There were dynamic and engaging networking sessions to exchange ideas and best practices. IEEE organizational units offered exhibit booths to provide information on IEEE resources and tools to strengthen and support vital units.
IEEE volunteers and members attended Sections Congress 2023 from 11-13 August 2023.
